TRANSFORMATION AS A SOCIO-ECONOMIC PHENOMENON

Summary

The scientific work considers theoretical and methodological approaches to the interpretation of the concept of the process of socio-economic transformation in various scientific schools and areas. On the basis of the monographic research method, the main stages of the transformation of socio-economic systems are determined: activation of the transformer, the emergence of quantitative and qualitative changes, the transition of the system to a state of bifurcation, the formation of a new system with qualitatively new characteristics, or a rollback of the system to its previous state with deformed old characteristics and, as a result, positioning of a qualitatively new system, or positioning of an updated system. The essence and nature of the transformer as a means of activating or deactivating the action of stimulating factors has been substantiated. The transformers are classified into two groups: first wave and second wave transformers. First wave transformers include labor, land, capital, knowledge and information. The transformers of the second wave include changes in the approaches to competition in the market, production technologies, approaches to management, welfare of the population, intrasystem economic relations, the political system and transformers formed on the basis of the opposition of the primary system to changes in the form of strengthening of the factors of the first wave, but only those which can stabilize the system. As a result of the activation of the transformers of the first and second waves, the reformatting of two main components of the socio-economic system occurs: the technological and socio-economic structure. It is determined that the socio-economic system is an interconnected set of social (household, social (administrative) education, state) and economic (business unit, industry or sector of the economy, market) elements that form a single whole, as a result of which the system acquires unique characteristics not inherent separately for each of the elements. It is important that the socio-economic system during the transformation process will not be identical to the primary system, since either deformation of old or the formation of new features, characteristics and functions occurs in it.

Keywords: socio-economic transformation; transformer; attractor; divergence; convergence; bifurcation.
