Анотація
Розвиток науки зумовлює певну змінність у тлумаченні категорій, тому проблема поглиблення процесу усвідомлення сутності знань, що фіксуються в поняттях і наукових підходах для теорії інформаційного суспільства і економіки знань є актуальною. Метою дослідження є спроба обгрунтувати направленість методології наукового пошуку в дослідженні економіки знань інформаційного суспільства. У статті обгрунтовано філософський зміст інформаційного суспільства; узагальнено характеристики можливих рівнів методологічного знання в економічних дослідженнях; розглянуто наукові підходи, які характерні для дослідження інформаційного суспільства та економіки знань.

MODERN DIRECTION OF THE METHODOLOGY OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN THE STUDY OF THE FORMATION OF A KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY IN THE INFORMATION SOCIETY
Summary
The development of science leads to some variability in interpretation of categories, so the problem of deepening the process of understanding the essence of knowledge that is captured in the concepts and scientific approaches of the theory of the information society and knowledge economy is important. The aim of the study is an attempt to justify the focus of the methodology of scientific research in the study of the knowledge economy and information society. In the article the philosophical meaning of the information society; summarizes the characteristics of the possible levels of methodological knowledge in economic research; considered scientific approaches that characterize the study of the information society and the knowledge economy.
